Skills Tests to Predict On the Job Success

While many of our solutions are behavioral assessments, TalentClick also offers hard skills tests to help predict on the job success. Understanding a candidate’s ability to do the job can accelerate onboarding and increase productivity. Organizations can save time in hiring while also finding more top performers!

Frontline Workers: The Cognitive Quotient (CQ) was developed for frontline workers to help employers better understand an individual’s language, numerical, and spatial/mechanical skills. The CQ is included as part of the Standard Unlimited-Use Subscription, and is trusted by industries including Transportation, Construction, Manufacturing, Natural Resources, and more.

For Specialized Roles: For higher level roles, it is common to move from the CQ to the Business Reasoning (BR) assessment. BR is a better fit when more advanced understanding of verbal and numerical problem solving is required, for example in engineering positions. Complex roles such as Emergency 9-1-1 Communications positions also benefit from the insights BR can bring to the hiring and development processes. In fact, Verbal Reasoning is one of the strongest predictors of success for these demanding roles.

For Leadership: The BR is included in our Leadership Profile (LP)  and is used to evaluate a potential leader’s advanced ability for problem solving.

    The English Proficiency (EP)

    The English Proficiency (EP) skills test measures English language competencies, including writing, vocabulary, typing speed and accuracy. This test is included as part of the Standard Unlimited-Use Subscription.  Many clients add EP to save time in pre-hire testing by matcing an individual’s abilities to relevant job tasks in administrative, customer service and call center roles.
